There was a little snail sitting on a hill
Gazing at the world below her
Such gratitude she felt
At the beauty she could see
She thought nothing could take her off kilter
Until across the shore she saw
Another snail on fire
She panicked and thought to help him
Til she noticed the matches he had in his hand
So stopped did her panic within
How beautifully bright he burned
With all of his despair
His light rivalled the sun
Charred to a crisp
His yelling turned to a whisper
That snail was cooked well done.

Open the scars to see what’s inside
The gift under the skin
Hidden
Breathe in deep to air the lungs
The space to run
Have fun
Hug your body, hug it tight
Self-love, self-care
Be here
Stop and smile
Let the world wait a while
Live now. -
There was a man who lived on the sea
Who had a dying wife
Each day he would serenade her
And warm her heart each night
She got sicker and sicker
But little did he know
Since the smile that shone out of her
Dazzled the darkest boats
So the man went to the port
And met a young lady
They had their way on the beach
While the wife lay in pain
The man returned and told his wife
He felt confused by his actions
But the wife simply passed away
Her soul abandoned her in seconds
Looking down she watched them
No longer who they were
Saddened by this tragedy
Both beyond repair
She looked across the bed frame
And up towards the night
There was his soul opposite
His eyes blue like the sky
No words came out of their mouths
But so much was shared
Without their bodies
Only love was heard
It filled the sky like an explosion
It warmed the earth for days
They wondered as they floated back
Could they survive this phase
They slowly returned to atoms
Into denseness they were cramped
She opened her eyes as he held her hand
And for life they did thank. -
The wind blew through her hair
Her breath deep and full
She stood atop the mountain
Gazing over the landscape still
Her feet started to edge forward
A walk became a run
And suddenly she was sprinting
Down the mountain side for fun
High pitched excitement escaped her face
Her arms flailing wildly
Until she reached the bottom
And looked back up so gladly
Out of breathe and panting
She started back up the mountain
Until she reached the top again
And tumbled down it like a fountain -
The road was long and bright
The sun she flowed so proud
Glistening on the metallic grey
That vroomed past the crowd
The music filled the air
Un chanson debonair
The passengers chuckling
And dancing quite au faire
The atmosphere got thick
Filled with all this love
The tiny little particles
Glowed, glistened and shone
How wonderful this moment
Shared between these two
Mummy and her little girl
The perfect roadtrip crew
