Two wise oak trees
Standing on a hill
Withstanding all weather
Down pours the rain
Out comes the sun
Strong they stand together

Through the grass they wandered
Pushing blades aside
How tall were the daffodils
Seemingly miles high
Slow and steady
Tight and firm
Their hands clasped together
The two little snails
Side by side
Faced the toughest weather
Knowing it would soon pass
And then the sky would clear
Their love and strength
Keeping them safe and always near
Though they couldn’t see where they were going
They felt the calling near
The smell of the ocean
Dissipating minds of fear
Leading with an open heart
It was not time to run
Pulsating at a steady beat
Glowing like the sun -
There was a little snail
Who was soooo full of love
She started to float away
Up above the flowers
The trees, and the houses
Up to the clouds ….
Until she was so high
She started to get scared
She didn’t know how to get down
The rain started coming
The thunder was rattling
So she hid under her shell
She hid until…
Out of the distance
She saw a snail on a leaf
Making his way towards her
He pulled her aboard
Held her tight so she’d not fall
And off they continued
Their adventure. -
There was a little leaf who blew off a tree
It started to fly it was so windy
Over the houses, over the bridge
Suddenly it found itself teetering on a ridge
Right over a waterfall, birds flew below
Then a slight gust of wind tipped the leaf
And woaaaaaah
It battled down the waterfall
Couldn’t see a thing
No way of stopping itself
Nothing for it to cling
It tumbled down and hit the rocks
It’s body battered and torn
Eventually it found itself drift back ashore
The little leaf did lie there limp
Tired from it’s adventure
Basking in the crispy sun
Until it flaked and was no more. -
The question never was whether I loved you
Or whether I loved you enough
I love you more than the sunrise
Without you my future looks rough
Not that it was smooth with you
It was never plain sailing
But I was happy to take on the roughest seas
Unfortunately we just kept failing
I just got tired of the sadness
I got fed up of the pain
The tears they just kept coming
Metaphorically rivalling British rain
Love is our big lesson
I know we tried our best
But it wasn’t about loving each other
Self love was the test
And that’s why I bowed out
Second time round
I guess this isn’t my lifetime
I’m unsure what my purpose is
If love isn’t in the pipeline -
There were two snails
Who loved to sail
Across the algae pond
They ventured to land
But couldn’t understand
Why their bodies started to bubble
They tried to move forward
But the pain was so great
They looked back and suddenly they saw
The salt on the floor
Burning their wounds
And so far away was the shore
Suddenly the ground
Started to pound
And cracks began to show
Then the earth spasmed
Creating a huge chasm
Separating the snails in tow
With a void between
The two snails were hopeless
Burning in despair
Until down flew a swallow
With a branch that was hollow
And the two snails climbed in there
Back to the pond
The swallow did fly
Carrying the snails safely
Thank it they did
As adieu they did bid
Back to their leaf, their place of safety
There were two snails
Who loved to sail
Across the algae pond
They tried being on land
It didn’t go to plan
So water is the way from now on. -
Like the waves stroke the sand
His fingers glide her hand
As the stars dazzle the nights
Her eyes encapsulate his might
And as the magnets together draw
Their loins forever claw
While their souls tango in the sky -
As a child she was promised shiny dreams
But the dream bearer left without a word
As a young woman she was promised shiny dreams
But the dream bearer then was too coward
Now she is promised shiny dreams
But the Sun is where the dream bearer flies toward
The three wise men bring dreams
Bare darkness
The three wise men
Bare all
How many times can the child be abandoned
How many times can she fall
One wise old woman holds her heart
Sets off along glittery streams
Pushing aside each wise man
As she reaches toward her dreams. -
Blocking the echo from its song
The cobwebs magestically fill the cave
No light to brighten the shadows
Since the sun went away
The cave may start to crumble
If the walls get too dry
No life seen within it
Only the spiders with all their eyes
Guardians of the cave
With their many legs
Like soldiers by their simple presence
Put passers by on edge
Earthquakes put the arachnids on stand by
The ground beneath does shake
As a wind starts to pass through the cave
And the cobwebs start to break
The eight legged soldiers carry out evacuation procedures
One by one they leave
The cave is going through a drastic change
A chrystalis I believe
Water floods through the dry cave
Washing the cobwebs away
And soon a hum is heard from deep
And light seen the other way
