They have always been in the mountains
Now they’re heading for the beach
The climate is changing down there
It’s warm but not protected by the trees
Exposed on the sand so vulnerable
It’s hard for them let go
Afraid of losing their footing
Remembering to go with the flow
The sand though it’s moving is safe
The tide only will come in so far
The trees are just behind them
So really there’s nothing to fear
The sun warms their bodies
The tribe drop their guard
The children start playing in the shallows
Suddenly they’re eaten by a shark
